Scope
This portion of the web site
provides tools for estimation of the left atrial (LA)
pressure, as well as related parameters such as pulmonary artery wedge
pressure (PAWP) and left ventricular diastolic pressures (LVDP), including
LV end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP).
Definition of Elevated Left Heart Filling Pressures
Left heart filling pressures are
elevated if any of the following criteria is met:
Mean PAWP > 12 mm Hg
E/e’ > 15
LVEDP > 16 mm Hg
