Purpose
To calculate mitral valve area using the proximal isovelocity surfaface area (PISA) method (also known as flow convergence method).

Technical Hints
PISA method calculates effective orifice area irrespective whether the orifice is stenotic, regurgitant of otherwise. To calculate aortic valve area PISA use general PISA method by clicking here.
